Remote Learning Packets
Email me anytime! I am happy to answer questions, or even just to chat. Please remember to include your parents on your emails.
Virtual Office Hours: T-F, 9-9:30am
Zoom Link: see remote learning packet on Google Drive
I will be hosting virtual office hours through Zoom for those who are interested. It is completely optional, but I would love to hear from some of you. Because this website is open to the public, these meetings do require a password to ensure that only students and/or parents can access it. Please look for an email from Ms. Holton through Jupiter for this password.
A Short Letter
As you well know, the COVID-19 pandemic has caused quite the upset in our day-to-day routine, including how we approach education. I trust that you are all doing your part by avoiding contact with others, regularly washing your hand for 20 seconds with soap and water, and generally keeping your wits as the situation changes each day. Remember to take some moments for your mental health as well by checking in on your loved ones (by phone or video chat) and taking a moment to do something relaxing. My dogs have been getting extra attention, and they are both ecstatic to have me home full time.
Please keep an eye on your emails for communication from Scottsdale Prep and Great Hearts, but as remote learning material becomes available for Earth Science, I will also post a copy of it here. Also feel free to check out the "Interesting Info" tab for some additional cool science information. I'm personally a fan of Astronomy Picture of the Day (APOD).
I hope you are all well, and I look forward to seeing you again, even if it's virtually!

For additional information about astronomy, check out OpenStax, a free online textbook. With a free account, you can "Read your book and get free study tools. Highlight, take notes, and make your own study guide."
Videos can really help you to visualize the concepts you are learning. OpenStax also provides a list of brief astronomy videos to help you out.
